Chris Martin, who is will perform at the Global Citizen Festival on the same bill as Jay Z, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, and a host local and international artists, will serve as the curator of the festival.
He visited South Africa earlier this year to scout possible festival locations and chat to politicians, sponsors, business leaders and artists. While he was in the country he met several artists, including Casper Nyovest, to discuss their involvement in the concert.
After the announcement of Cassper Nyovest’s participation in the festival, set to take place in December, the rapper hit the social media-sphere to finally share pictures of his meeting with Martin.
Nyovest posted a series of pictures on Instagram and Twitter showing them having lunch and in what appears to be deep conversation. The rapper also mentions that Martin told him that he loves his song 'Malome' and that he would love to perform it with him one day.
The Global Citizen Festival is a free-ticket event that will take place in Johannesburg on 2 December.
